Populating bank account detail in the create payrun screen

When the auto scanning facility seems unable to 'see' the bank details but we can, why can we not add this detail without having to cancel and recreate the payrun?
Having gone back to Xero, manually added the bank data in the supplier record and then returned to Telleroo, one can not then refresh the screen to populate the record. The only way to get this into the payrun is to cancel the whole run and recreate it. Surely this can be done differently? Maybe even the facility to populate the boxes manaully in the top left corner of the scanned screen where the evidence is obvious to us? This is such a let down of an otherwise briliant idea.

We have just released a large upgrade to our OCR scanning technology focused around the success rate of GBP invoice scans that should remove the need to type in bank details in nearly all cases.
If any cases do occur when we are not able to scan please jump on livechat or drop us an email to support@telleroo.com and we can look into specific cases.

I would love to see a change to the part where you scan the invoices for details.

As it is now, when you scan an invoice for details and it can't see them properly I have to got in Xero and change them manually. It would be great if I could edit the details directly where it scans. There are already 2 boxes where the AI shows what it extracted so I think it would be nice to be able to edit the details directly there instead of going to Xero.

We're looking into what working is needed to create a bank details manager plus role that allows input of bank details.

Chris G thanks for the feedback and that it's taken such a long time to come back to you. We're now moving again on these features now new frontend is out!
The reason we don't allow it now is that anyone could put in their bank details in way, where as there is more protection is they can only be scanned of invoice. If we added bank details manager plus role which allows scanning and amending bank detals for that user would this work for you?

Andrew Cookson Thanks for getting back to me (eventually :))
I don't think the argument holds much weight, providing you know - which of course you do - who is logged in and making the changes. If I was minded to change the details to my own bank details, then I could just follow the same procedure and make the changes in Xero and flow those through to Telleroo! If I have had the authority to connect Xero in the first place and have client's authority to create and review as well as authorise payment runs, then why don't you acknowledge that authority? This is augmented by the ridiculous number of times that I have to MFA the various stages of the process! All I'm asking for is that, with appropriate authority, I can make a manual change rather than have to redo the whole process after making the same manual change in a different bit of software. Is this just Telleroo protecting it's own arse?
Happy to chat about this further...

Chris G: Thanks for this and love this candid feedback.
On the bank details we've designed it so no one can manually key in bank details. When you connect the bank feed and turn on Xero bills you may have permission to amend bank details in Xero, but the other Telleroo users who have access to the account may not (they might not even have a Xero user).
Our worry is that if we allow any creator to amend bank details does it not give to much power to any creator in Telleroo? If so this why the suggestion of having a new role of bank manager + or something where you decide who should be able to do it. Maybe were being too scared here?
On the MFA every approval were going to try and allow you to approve multiple pay runs in one click rather than click into each one. Feedback card here https://telleroo.canny.io/telleroo-app/p/select-multiple-pay-runs-to-approve.
Hopefully this reduces the number of times you have to enter this or your clients do! We have to have MFA on approval due to strong customer authentication rules but we can hopefully make it so you only have to enter once to approve multiple pay runs.

Andrew Cookson Thank you!
I still come back to the fact that you must know who is logged into the platform, therefore it can't be that difficult to restrict the ability to make changes to those who have the appropriate authority. Any other users just don't get given the ability to make the changes. Am I over simplifying this - on a platform level, that is - I realise the coding may not be so simple?
Any improvement on the MFA would help. It just seems overkill, even given the constraints placed upon you due to regulation.
Thanks Andrew

Chris G Yes, you're right we know who's logged in so it sounds like us giving you the ability to choose who can and can't manually add bank details would work? If so then I think we can make this work!

Andrew Cookson Woo hoo! Pester power 😉
Thanks Andrew
